Towers of Paine - Chile - Booking Online 2005 - Itinerary

Dia 1
Reception at the airport and transfer to Puerto Natales. In the road will take a deviation to arrive to the Seno Otway where there's a Magellan Penguins Colony. Once at Puerto Natales, we will have dinner and overnight at the Saltos del Paine Hotel.

Dia 2
Breakfast. Transfer from the hotel to the port to take the cutter 21 de Mayo. We will navigate the Fiord called Ultima Esperanza, during the sailing we can observe marine fauna as a Cormorants colony and Sea Lions, also you can know the history of the colonization and appreciate wonderful scenarios. As a destination of this first stop, is the imposing Monte Balmaceda (Mount), where you can see two glaciers, the Balmaceda and the Serrano. The access to the last one is a hike of 20 minutes. You're not going to see this glacier far away, you will be able to walk on it as well, with the help of experienced guides and special equipment.

After this visit we return to the port to take another smaller boat (semi rigid rubber Boat), to navigate, this time, the Serrano River, accessing from this way to the Torres del Paine National Park. Transfer in vehicle to the sector of Laguna Amarga (lagoon) to have dinner and overnight at Las Torres lodge.

Dia 3
Breakfast. Walk by the Valle Asencio (valley) until the base of the majestic Torres del Paine, path with prominent ascents. The time of the hike is around 7 hour's round trip. Dinner and overnight at Las Torres lodge.

Dia 4
Breakfast. Hike by the path that skirts the Lago Nordenskjöld (Lake) and by the base of Cuernos del Paine. Box lunch. Dinner and overnight at Los Cuernos lodge. (5 Hours approximately).

Dia 5
Breakfast. Hike to the sector of the Valle del Frances (French's Valley), located among the mountains of Los Cuernos (The Horns) and the Paine Grande (Big Paine), in this valley you will see the Glaciar Francés (French glacier) that's coming from the top of the Paine Grande. Then we will walk to the Grey Glacier area, which belongs to South's Ice Field. Also we will go through the lodge and Lago Pehoé (Pehoe Lake), where we will have lunch. In total this path will take 8 hrs. You will be able to appreciate the magnificent of the Lago Grey (Grey Lake), covered with icebergs. Once at the Grey hostelry we will have dinner and overnight.

Dia 6
Breakfast. At this moment we have been able to appreciate the Glacier from far away, but now is a new day, we can touch it, even we can walk on it. With the attendance of experienced guides and special equipment we will enjoy an unforgettable day on the millionaire ice. Return to the lodge where we will have dinner and overnight.

Dia 7
Breakfast. From the same lodge, we will take the Grey II, boat that navigates the Lago Grey and that will cross us to the other side of the lake, to the Hostería Grey (Hotel) sector. There will be waiting our vehicles to take us back to Puerto Natales, where an appetizing dinner will be waiting for us: "asado de Cordero" (Roasted of Magellan lamb). Overnight at the Saltos del Paine Hostelry.

Dia 8
Breakfast. Transfer to Punta Arenas airport to take the flight to Santiago. End of the services. (Optional: Navigation to Puerto Montt bt M/N Navimag).
